Foodie Friday

Chocolate Trifle




  •  1 pkg           Devil's Food Cake Mix
  •  1/2 C           Strong Coffee
  •  1 pkg           HEATH Milk Chocolate Toffee Bits (8 oz)
  •                         -or- 6 HEATH Bars, crushed
  •  2 pkg's         Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix (3.9 oz each)
  •  1 Container   Cool Whip (12 oz) 

1.  Bake cake in a  9" X 13"  pan according to package directions.  Cool.

2.  Prepare pudding according to package directions; set aside.

3.  Crumble cake; reserve 1/2 cup.  Place half the remaining cake crumbs in the bottom of a large glass bowl.  Layer with half of the coffee, half of the pudding, half of the Cool Whip and half of the HEATH Bar bits.

4.  Repeat layers except for the HEATH Bar bits..  

5.  Combine remaining HEATH Bar bits with the reserved cake crumbs.  Sprinkle over the top of trifle.  

6.  Refrigerate at least 4-5 hours before serving.
