Show & Tell Tuesday (Teal & White Delight - Kaela)

Show & Tell Tuesday

Today I am sharing a quilt I made for my then future daughter-in-law, Kaela.

In 2016, Kaela married my son, JT, but in 2014 she was a recent medical school graduate.

Teal & White Delight

I gave this quilt to dear Kaela on the occasion of her graduation.

Kaela's graduation from medical school was also the time when we met her family for the first time.

I have made this pattern before in a different
color-way.  It is one of my favorite patterns.  The original name for the pattern is Red & White Delight.

I picked up the pattern from a little quilt shop in Hershey, PA.

Teal & White Delight was quilted on my first long-arm quilting machine, Annie.

Since I gave this quilt to Kaela, she has married JT in Santa Rosa, California, and she is now in her 4th year residency for orthopedic surgery.

We love you Kaela, and we are so happy you are part of our family!

Until Next Time.....Happy Stitching!!!

Awesome Adventures August 2017

Awesome Adventures
August 2017

The lazy, hazy crazy days of summer ...

At times the days seem long, but in the blink of an eye the summer is over.  We were determined to get in some fun adventures before the lazy days turned into school days.

My sweet boys love to do crafts.

Morning cuddles...

Afternoon Cuddles...

 Evening cuddles...

Playground Time!

Our little monkey <3

Drying swimsuits ... a frequent sight in the backyard.

Jace enjoying the backyard.

"Mimi, I'm sooooo tired!"

Logan DOES NOT like thunderstorms!

But he and Ryder both love ice cream/milk shakes.

Ryder and Logan enjoy going to Kidz Village on rainy days.

Little Jace celebrated his half birthday in August.

Shea and I did a little wedding dress shopping ...
so much fun!

Ryder loves to put together Lego creations.

This sweet face gets LOTS of Mimi kisses!

I think this post makes our Awesome Adventures current.
I'll be back with more Awesome Adventures with Ryder, Logan and Jace next month.

Until Next Time.....Happy Stitching!!!

Awesome Adventures July 2017

Awesome Adventures July 2017

We celebrated our country's independence on July 4th with an All-American trip to Yankee Stadium.  The boys love going to visit Daddy at work.

Little Jace continued his daily tummy time assignment.

Tummy Time can be very exhausting!

Ryder enjoying strawberry shortcake

Grandad and I spent many hours playing with the boys in their backyard.

The flowers in their yard are beautiful!

We played lots of baseball.

And a crazy amount of time swimming in the pool.

The boys had fun going to Bounce U.

Aunt Shea treated the boys to a movie for Ryder's birthday.  We saw Cars 3.

The boys had a ton of fun visiting their grandparents in Delaware.

We did lots of backyard crafts.

We went for neighborhood walks...

And nature hikes.

"If you build it, they will come."

Our special little Jace turned 5 months old on July 16th.

His little face makes me SMILE :)

Logan helped to feed Jace a bottle when Mommy was away.

Then he enjoyed his favorite treat...a Steak & Shake milkshake!

We took lots of walking trips to the local playground.

Hungry Hungry Hippos was a favorite activity in July.

We played on the roller coaster A LOT!

Without a doubt, the highlight of our
Awesome Adventures in July was our very special annual trip to Hershey Park.

The boys were thrilled that they both grew to the next ride step at the
 Official Height Measuring Station.

Logan is now a Hershey Kiss and Ryder is finally a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!

We loved all of the rides ...

and meeting some characters.

The water park at the Lodge is always a favorite activity.

Logan had something very important to show Aunt Shea.

Ryder made out like a bandit playing
 Hershey Lodge Bingo.

The boys always love going to Hershey's Chocolate World.

We tried to play miniature golf...
We will try again next year.  HaHa!

Wow!  We sure had a lot of Awesome Adventures in July.  No wonder it took me so long to get them all posted on Quilty Pleasures.

August Awesome Adventures should be coming later in the week.  At that point we will be all caught up until the end of September.

Until Next Time.....Happy Stitching!!!
