Snow Snow Go Away!!!
Ten more inches today and ten more predicted for tomorrow night. UGH!
Honestly, I don't mind the snow because I love to hibernate in my house in the winter to quilt.
But when I have to go out, I am so afraid to drive. Actually, petrified would be a better word.
This is probably an irrational fear but it is a fear I can't seem to shake.
I have to drive three times this week and we have three storms predicted. It will definitely be a tough week for me.

The Week of January 27, 2014
(in review)
1. Make a Disappearing 9-Patch quilt.
I used a Moda layer cake and charm pack called "Peace on Earth." I've had these two precuts for a long time. It was nice to be able to use them with such pretty results.
I am undecided about borders. This fabric line is so old that I doubt I will be able to get more of it for borders. I am going to take this flimsy with me to PQW this week to see if I can find fabric in their sale room that might work.
2. Work on the first two blocks for the
These are the first two blocks for this Quilt-Along. I am very happy with them.
I took pictures of these two blocks and plugged them into the blank quilt mock-up provided by Michele Foster of the Quilting Gallery using my PAINT program.
I am so excited that I was able to do this.
Hopefully I will be able to do this with each block.
4. Bind and label Going Buggy.
Into the pile it will go. :(
5. Bind and label Hopscotch in Neutrals.
I made Hopscotch from a pattern by Alex Anderson in June of 2013. Unfortunately the pattern had an error that I did not discover until the blocks were already sewn together. I decided to just keep it this way, without the intended pattern.
In the mean time I will enjoy my very scrappy Hopscotch in Neutrals quilt.
Into the hand-tack binding pile it goes.
6. Make a "Ten Minute Table-runner."
No progress. Well, actually, a little progress.
I washed the fabric for this project so it is now ready to go.
7. Prepare SueNami, a Deb Tucker pattern,
as a BRODY Project.
After reading through the directions for this project, I have decided it is too complicated to be a Brody Project. There are multiple cutting, sewing and pressing steps that would be completed better in my studio. I will put this project on hold for a while.
8. Work on the first two blocks for
a quilt-along sponsored by Judy Laquidara.
9. Start the preliminary design for a quilt for Ryder as he moves into his first "Big Boy" bed.
No Progress. I am going to wait a bit on this project because my DS and DDIL are unsure of the bed size.
10. Work on the first two blocks for Wishes,
a quilt-along sponsored by the

Thanks for the stickees and magnets, Grammy.
Lots of swag from the NY Ranger vs. NY Islander game.
16. Go out to dinner with some very dear friends.
We had a wonderful dinner at The Cranbury Inn in Cranbury, NJ with people we have been friends with for many, many years. In fact a few of them were my teachers and classmates when I was in school.
It was a wonderful night.
