What an exciting and busy month it has been!
First of all, my beloved New York Mets won the National League Pennant and made it into the World Series.
Although they did not win the World Series, they were able to win one game. They received so much valuable experience to build on for next year.
They were definitely:
Another exciting bit of news is that I now own a new long-arm quilting machine. My first long-arm, Annie, needed extensive repairs and we determined it was not worth the expense to fix her.
Now I own a HandiQuilter Avantè named Ava! I am happily quilting again.
Here are some of her first stitches...on a QFK quilt:
My wonderful son, JT, and his fiancée, Kaela, purchased a home a few weeks ago.
I wish them much love and happiness in their new home!
Kaela, an orthopedic surgeon, was just finishing a rotation in Baltimore so was not available. When she got back to the city on Sunday, she insisted he go to get it checked. After x-rays and a CT scan they are still undecided if he needs surgery. He will see one of Kaela's colleagues in the next few days to make that decision. Now he must just keep his arm/shoulder immobilized in a sling. He thinks it is funny to say he has a "Tony Romo injury." Please keep him in your prayers for a quick and relatively comfortable recovery.
Now, on to my list:
