Make-A-List Monday February/March

The weather in the Northeast has been atrocious this month.  We have been dealing with sub-zero wind chill temperatures and copious amounts of snow.  I happily surrender the month of February and I look forward to March and the promise of spring.

Now onto my list...

February
(in review)

1.  Spend quality time with my wonderful grandsons.

Just a few pictures of our time spent together this month:

Ryder received his Frozen soundtrack in the mail.  Most kids love Let It Go but Ryder's favorite song is Frozen Heart.  He loves the first scene in the movie when we are introduced to the Ice Cutters, Kristof and Sven.

 Gym Class

Ryder made a snowman for his daddy's office.

Hanging out with my Bro!

Cutting ice just like the Ice Cutters in Frozen.

We went to Granddad's basketball game.
Ryder was drawing up a great play.

Logan just loved spending time with Granddad.

My favorite Valentines!

The only thing better than decorating Valentine cookies is...

 eating them!

 Logan in the ball pit.

Putting on a Clifford puppet show.

We found out that one of our QFK members will be moving to Florida in the spring.  We have decided to make her a quilt.  We will each make a few blocks.  Here are my two blocks:

One of our members will sew the quilt top together.  I will do the quilting and another member will hand sew the binding.  I will be sad to see my friend move away but I am happy that she will start the next chapter of her life in a warm climate.

33.  Attend Saturday Sampler workshop at Pennington Quilt Works.

34.  Go out to dinner with some very dear friends.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Cranbury Inn in Cranbury, NJ.

35.  Attend a Super Bowl party.

My DS and DDIL hosted a Super Bowl party.  There were LOTS of wonderful things to eat but the most fun item on the menu were the "walking tacos" or "tacos in a bag."

Such fun!!

36.  Celebrate Valentine's Day.

I finished the table runner just in time.

Ryder enjoyed the Valentine Cake.  He couldn't understand why we didn't sing Happy Birthday.  He pretended to blow out candles anyway.

We had fun playing Valentine Bean Bag toss.

Playing anything with Uncle JT and Kaela is fun.

37.  Take a few training classes for my new MacBook Pro laptop.

So far I have had an introductory class, a class on Pages and a class on Numbers.

  1. Quite a long list! I don't know how you will complete it all in only 31 days especially since #1 would be first priority. Good luck and good piecing.
