Make-A-List Monday

The Week of March 10, 2014
(in review)

1.  Continue to work on Ryder's Big Boy Bed quilt.

I was able to finish all of the appliqued blocks for this special quilt for a special boy.

 Soccer

Basketball

Ryder's Initials

 Baseball Field

Football Helmet

Lacrosse Sticks

 Bowling

 Baseball

Basketball

The next step will be to square down all the blocks and add sashing and cornerstones.

After that I will have to make some decisions about borders, backing, batting and binding.

2.  Work on my teal batik Kwik Krazy Quilt.

This quilt will have 84 blocks
(if I choose to use them all) each finishing at 9".

 Every block will be different.

So far I have finished 24 of the 84 blocks.

3.  Work on the seventh lesson for
"Delightful Stars Quilt-Along" sponsored by The Quilting Gallery and put it into the Mock-Up.

This week the lesson was just
six practice paper-pieced blocks.

Since I have done MANY paper-pieced blocks I opted not to make the practice blocks.

4.  Prepare backings and bindings for my two Flag of Valor quilts.

The backings and bindings have been prepared and these two quilts have been added to my Git-R-Done list.

5.  Work on some of the McCall's
Make It Your Way quilt along blocks.

No progress.

6.  Work on a few blocks for the
Layer Cake Sampler quilt along sponsored by Material Girls Quilts.

15.  Work on the quilt currently loaded on Annie:
  "2013 NJ Shop Hop Quilt."

I am almost done with this quilt.  I only have one more pass to do.

16.  Attend The Lancaster Quilt Show at The Continental Inn and the AQS Quilt Show at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, PA.

I was extremely fortunate to be able to go to this show on Wednesday and Saturday last week.

Here are some of my favorite quilts:

17.  Spend a day with my favorite (at least for two more months) grandson, Ryder.

I didn't get many pictures this week.  This one was taken at one of the local libraries.
