Make-A-List-Monday

The Week of March 3, 2014
(in review)

1.  Bind and label "Square Dance."

This sweet little quilt is quilted and bound.  As soon as I finish hand tacking the binding it will be a gift for a sweet baby girl.  :)

2.  Continue to work on my New York Beauty quilt.

All my blocks are done...I think I have 56 of them.  In the near future I will sew the blocks together and post a picture.

3.  Work on Ryder's "Big Boy Bed" quilt.

I have been very busy working on appliqued blocks for this quilt.  This is what I have so far:

As you can tell, his quilt will have a sports theme.  The next block I will work on is a soccer ball.  The finished blocks will measure 15" square.

4.  Work on the seventh lesson for
and put it into the Mock-Up.

I did not work on this block because the pattern was never released.

The designer was ill so she decided to postpone this block until next week.

5.  Prepare "Seashore Memories" as a BRODY Project.

"Seashore Memories" has been prepared and it will be added to my list of BRODY Projects.  This quilt pattern can be found in the September 2010 issue of
The Quilter Magazine.

6.  Work on a few Dear Jane blocks.

Two more triangles complete.

7.  Begin working on a quilt called
"Majestic Mountain" by 3 Dudes Quilting.

I began working on this quilt only to decide that it would be a perfect BRODY Project.  It will be added to my list of BRODY Projects.

8.  Work on some more blocks for my
"Just Takes 2" quilt.

No progress.

9.  Work on the following BRODY Projects:

*Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Small Print
Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Large Print
Civil War Tribute
*Two Flag of Valor Quilts
*Teal & White Delight
Kwik Krazy Quilt

I am now adding borders to my first "Four-Patch Stacked Posies."  I made a little progress on "Teal & White Delight."  I completed the two Flag of Valor quilts tops:

As you can see, they are very similar.

I have decided to move the Kwik Krazy Quilt away from this list because it is too difficult to work on while I am "puppy-sitting."

10.  Work on the quilt currently loaded on Annie:
  "2013 NJ Shop Hop Quilt."

I made a little progress on this quilt but it is not finished yet.

11.  Add some more hexies to my Bonnie Hunter inspired Christmas Hexie Quilt.

No progress.

12.  Work on the shawl I am crocheting for
the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. David the King Church.

A little progress.

13.  Attend the Quilts for Kids workshop at PQW.

Our group made 30 quilts this month to donate to ill and needy children

14.  Attend the NJ Quiltfest in Somerset, NJ.

A few pictures from Quiltfest:

15.  Attend Saturday Sampler at PQW.

This month we will be doing paper piecing for our block.  I'll post pictures as soon as it is done.

16.  Spend a day with little Ryder. :)

Ryder and I had a great time painting, playing, reading, doing chores and going to the library.

  1. You are such a busy lady! Love the beginnings of the sports themed quilt. Thanks for sharing your pictures from the Quiltfest. Don't you just love seeing quilts in person? Pictures are nice, but just don't do justice to real life! As always... Love seeing that sweet boy! Ryder is such a cutie!

  2. Oh my goodness, I am tired just reading through everything - you must just flop into bed at night after a week like that. When I started patchworking, I promised myself only 3 WIP at once, sorry to say that didnt last and I am already up to 5 and growing !!!!
