Make-A-List Monday

The Week of February 17, 2014
(in review)
1.  Work on the fifth block for
and put it into the Mock-Up. 





Five blocks done and a bunch to go!!!
2.  Assemble the quilt center for 

I am loving this quilt top more and more.

I think the only thing I have left to do is to finish the borders.

3.  Work on a few paper pieced blocks for a New York Beauty quilt I am making.


Here are a few of my blocks.  When I am done I will have 42 of them.  I have finished all of the paper piecing.  Now I have to attach the background and centers to approximately 12 more blocks.  When that is finished I will be ready to sew the blocks together.

4. Work on a block or two for Toes in the Sand, a quilt by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts. 



These blocks went together so easily using 
Julie's Hex N More ruler.

5.  Work on three Desk Deli Totes, designed by Penny Sturges for Quilts Illustrated, for future gifts.

No progress.
6.  Work on a few Dear Jane blocks.

No progress

7.  Bind and label "Roll Roll Cotton Boll."

This quilt has been trimmed but not bound and labeled yet.

8.  Begin working on a quilt called 
"Majestic Mountain" by 3 Dudes Quilting.

No progress.

9.  Work on some more blocks for my 
"Just Takes 2" quilt.

No progress.
10.  Work on the following BRODY Projects:

*Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Small Print
Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Large Print
*Civil War Tribute
Two Flag of Valor Quilts
Teal & White Delight
Kwik Krazy Quilt


A little progress on the two starred quilts but no finishes.


11.  Work on the quilt currently loaded on Annie:
  A Quilts for Kids quilt called "Little Dominoes."

I finished "Little Dominoes" and another Quilts for Kids quilt called "Jelly Roll Race."  

12.  Add some more hexies to my Bonnie Hunter inspired Christmas Hexie Quilt.

No progress.

13.  Work on the shawl I am crocheting for 
the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. David the King Church.

No progress.


14.  Spend two days with my Ryder.

Because of another snow/ice storm I was able to have Ryder spend the night.  





"More snow, Mimi??"

(Ryder has decided to call me Mimi instead of Grammy.  Hopefully, as he gets older, Grammy will be easier for him to say.)















Ryder had fun (I think) fingerpainting with shaving cream.  He only would get one hand in the soap.

15.  Attend Strip Club at The Village Quilter.



These are the strips we will use to make this beautiful bargello quilt:


I am going to add a pink batik inner border and a Kaffe Fassett outer border when I make my quilt.


The Week of February 24, 2014

 1.  Prepare a pieced batting for "Square Dance," 
 a quilt I finished piecing in June 2013.

 2.  Work on the final borders for

Make-A-List Monday

The Week of February 10, 2014
(in review)


1.  Work on the fourth block for
and put it into the Mock-Up.




2.  Work on eight checkerboard accent blocks for

3.  Prepare a "Kwik Krazy Quilt" as a Brody Project.

I've prepared the first 9 of 81 "Krazy" blocks.

4.  Work on the first two blocks for Wishes, 
a quilt-along sponsored by the




5.  Work on the tenth block for the PQW Saturday Sampler.


6.  Work on some blocks for the 2013 


The sampler will look something like this when it is done. 

 Here are the rest of the blocks that I finished this week:

















There is a 12" and a 6" block for each design.  I used my Civil War repro stash fabric to make these blocks.  

 I have now finished all 24 blocks.  The next step will be to make a variety of setting blocks and then put them all together.

He loved the Jello Jigglers I made for him for Valentine's Day.


He was so excited to eat the yummy treat his mommy and daddy got for him.
