Just a Reminder...
The Blog Hop Party with Give-Aways sponsored by The Quilting Gallery is winding down.
Tomorrow is the last day for a chance to win these two charm packs:
Now, on to my list.....
The Week of November 18, 2013
(in review)
1. Make 18 labels for quilts that need them and then prepare Show & Tell Tuesday posts for these quilts.
This was a large endeavor but I was able to finish all labels. I've prepared a few Show & Tell Tuesday posts that I will share over the next few weeks.
2. Prepare Show & Tell Tuesday posts for a stack of quilts that have already been labeled.
All Show & Tell Tuesday posts for quilts previously labeled are complete. I will share them over the next few weeks.
3. Cut up a bag of scraps I've accumulated over the last few weeks.
4. Add a binding and label to "Back in Time," the quilt I recently finished quilting on Annie.
5. Work on a few more Wildflower Rhapsody blocks.
6. Continue to work through my Flylady inspired Christmas Control Journal.
I also had time to make some presents and two batches of cookies...
oatmeal and gingersnap.
7. Make some more Make It Snappy scarves.
A few more scarves are done but I still have some to sew.
I will definitely be busy, busy, busy this week.
8. Make a "Ten Minute Table Runner."
Oh, dear...this poor table runner is still a pile of fabric in a bag. Pretty sad when you can't find ten minutes in your busy day.
9. Spend three days with my Ry Bear.
On one of our days together we went to the library again for a movement class with Mrs Amira.
I tried to get him to pose in front of the seasonal sign at the library but it became a game of run-away. Oh, well!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving my dear little boy. I will certainly miss you but I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with your Boston based family.
10. Work on the following BRODY Projects:
Blue Dresden Plate Quilt
Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Small Print
Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Large Print
*Blue Palace
*Meadow - A Christmas Quilt
Jungle Fever
Civil War Tribute
Aunt Josephine's Pride Mini Quilt
Two Flag of Valor Quilts
Here are a few of the Blue Palace blocks that I finished this week.
I also finished these Meadow blocks.
No projects are done but I am starting to see a little progress on these projects.
11. Work on the quilt currently loaded on Annie - Christmas Tree Skirt.
12. Add some more hexies to my Bonnie Hunter inspired
Christmas Hexie Quilt.
No progress...
13. Work on the shawl I am crocheting for
the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. David the King Church.
14. Attend the Byrne $5 quilt workshop and go out to a birthday lunch with my friend, Chris. (This birthday is lasting over a month!)
I didn't realize my loss until I was in the middle of the grocery store. I had been to so many places that day, running errands. I figured my beautiful bracelet was lost forever.
The next day, on the slight chance that someone had turned in the bracelet, I started to make a list of all the places I had visited the day before. My first stop had been Byrne Sewing Connection in Doylestown, PA, so this was my first call.
I was shocked when the salesclerk told me someone had found my bracelet in the parking lot and turned it in to them. I was thrilled and so thankful for the honest character of fellow quilters. Quilters are definitely, as a group, wonderfully kind and generous.
15. Attend Strip Club at The Village Quilter.
Strip club this month was a beautiful Christmas quilt.
This quilt is a free pattern that the shop owner emailed to me, but I have been unable to open the attachment.
My computer is acting up again. I have tried everything to open the attachment without luck. I'm sure this is a PICNIC issue...
