Make-A-List Monday

This has been a great week.  We were invited by my DDIL Heather to attend a
NY Mets vs. KC Royals game on Sunday.  My DS Kyle gets wonderful seats quite often from one of his clients.  We were so excited to go.

The weather was gorgeous.

The Mets lost a bunch of pop flies in the sun and eventually the game but we still had a great time.

Unfortunately Kyle was running an event at Yankee Stadium so he was unable to attend.  Ryder had a blast running up and down the aisles.  He enjoyed seeing Mr. Met again and visiting the Shea Bridge.  I'm sure his Auntie Shea wishes she could have gone with us.  He ate what seemed like a pound of fresh fruit and tasted his first hot dog.  Thank you, Heather, for taking the pictures and for a perfect day.

The Week of July 29, 2013
(in review)

1.  Work on the next two blocks for the Pieceful Nights Quilt-A-Long sponsored by Jo's Country Junction.

I did not do these blocks last week.  They will be on the top of my list again this week because they have to be done by Tuesday to share them at
Jo's Country Junction

2.  Continue to work on my Jelly Beans quilt pattern by
Blue Underground Studios..

I was able to finish the quilt top.

Jelly Beans

I love the way the top turned out.  I will be looking for a neutral batik for the backing.

3.  Prepare backing for Syncopated Rhythm.

Syncopated Rhythm has now been added to my Git-R-Done list.

4.  Finish quilting my ABC Quilt that is currently loaded on Annie.

Annie behaved perfectly this week.  I talked to Customer Service for HandiQuilter in Salt Lake City and we were able to diagnose the problem as electrical.  It seems that every time my AC came on it would cause Annie to stall.  It was sooooo hot the week she was misbehaving and our AC was running constantly.  It is good to know that it was an external problem and nothing with the machine itself.

5.  Work on the following BRODY Projects:

String of Pearls
Keep It Simple
Lazy Sunday
Blue Dresden Plate Quilt
Log Cabin Christmas Tree Quilt

I finished piecing two of my BRODY Projects

String of Pearls

Keep It Simple

I received the final clue for the Lazy Sunday mystery.  Now I can work on that quilt and prepare a few more.

6.  Work on the July paper-pieced heart sampler block.

I did not get to this block.

7.  Celebrate my DH's birthday on Tuesday.

My DH Don spent his birthday with little Ryder so I didn't see him until dinner but it was still a very nice birthday indeed.

8.  Work on hand piecing two blocks for Skill Builder Block of the Month
sponsored by Alyssa Lichner of Pile O' Fabric.

I am making slow but steady progress on these blocks.

9.  Start working on a quilt called "Crazy Eights."

I did not get to start this quilt yet.

10.  Work on the next block for the PQW Saturday Sampler.

I did not get to this block.

5.  Complete the 3rd block for the Pennington Quilt Works Saturday Sampler BOM and attend class later in the week.
