February has been a super month! We went out to dinner with some wonderful friends.
We went to The Cranbury Inn and our favorite server, Sam, took very good care of us.
Earlier this month I decided to re-embrace FlyLady.
I started my Flylady baby steps many, many years ago when my children were still quite young. She truly helped me take my home from CHAOS to clutter-free in a few short months. As the years have gone by, I stopped practicing my routines, my weekly home blessings and my zone cleaning. I started to notice clutter springing up throughout my home. Now that my son and his family have moved into their own home, I am back to the Flylady system, baby stepping my way through my house.
My biggest goal this year is to declutter and organize my basement. This is one area that always seems to be messy. I have broken my basement into 14 mini-zones. My plan is to spend three weeks in each mini-zone: cleaning, purging and organizing. I am currently on mini-zone #2 and I am already starting to see some progress.
This has been a rather time consuming zone as it holds many of the things that I boxed-up when my dear grandmother passed away approximately 18 years ago.
It is impossible to sort through all the pictures and letters that she saved without shedding a tear or two. She was an amazing woman and I miss her so much.
Two days after Valentine's Day we welcomed another much loved grandchild:
Jace Kyle Hutchinson
:D
Suffice it to say that my Dear Nan would have loved this little guy as much as I do, I'm sure!
I'll have more pictures of little Jace and his two big brothers when I post our February Awesome Adventures.
I've been very busy this month with non-quilty things, so I haven't completed anything on my list. I have made some progress on a few of the items, though:

1. Piece, quilt, bind and label at least one "Quilts for Kids" quilt. Attend the
Quilts for Kids workshop at
Pennington Quilt Works.
Over 30 quilts donated in February!
2. Christmas Tree Skirt for Shea & Ricky
I'm still working on the hand-stitched binding.
3. Make a quilt for Logan's Big Boy Bed
After starting this quilt in Navy Blue, Gray and White I discovered that Pennington Quilt Works will offer the same blocks as their Saturday Sampler Block of the Month. I was disappointed to learn this because I'm not sure that I really want to make two quilts with the same patterns but different fabrics.
I have not ruled out participating in the Saturday Sampler this year, but I am leaning toward not participating. I will wait to decide after I see their color choices in person next week.
