Pinwheels for Caroline

Pinwheels for Caroline was a Block of the Month I did a few years ago.

It is one of the largest quilts I have ever made at 98' X 115".

It is made with a large variety of Civil War Reproduction fabric.  It is basically HST and Pinwheel blocks.

The pieced border is exceptionally pretty.  It is the perfect size for a king sized bed.

I completed this quilt in 2011.

Make-A-List Monday February/March

Happy Leap Day!!!

The weather in our area is slowly beginning to warm up.  We have been fortunate to experience some days in the 50's.  But 50 degree weather can not compare to the weather my son and his future wife are enjoying in southern California.

Kaela's mother and grandmother held a "Meet the Family" party for them yesterday.

The food looks AMAZING!

Only a few short months until they will be husband and wife.  Most of the arrangements have been made: airplane tickets purchased;  hotel booked;  car rented;
dress ...  ?

Oh my, I need a dress or three.  I had better get on that soon!

 Ryder and Logan made me a BEAUTIFUL bracelet.

 They shared a heart shaped pizza with me...

 and made me a lovely card.

I made my Dear Hubby a heart shaped cake and ...

heart shaped corn muffins.

5.  Go out to dinner with some Dear Friends.

We had a delicious dinner at the Cranbury Inn.

6.  Attend my son's Super Bowl party.

The party was fun.  I especially enjoyed half time, watching Ryder dance to Bruno Mars was a riot!

7.  Make St. Patrick's Day pillowcases for

 Ryder & Logan

8.  Spend some time this month prepping scrap fabrics to add to my Quiltville Scrap User's System

Grandmother's Sampler

I made Grandmother's Sampler as a BOM from a shop called Kindred Quilts.  Unfortunately, Kindred Quilts has since closed it's doors, as many quilt shops have done.  

This quilt was designed by Lori Smith.  The pattern can be found HERE.  

I completed this quilt in  2012 and it finishes at 73" square.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

I  named this quilt Follow the Yellow Brick Road because of the way the yellow fabric winds its way through the quilt.  

I have searched and searched, but I can not find the pattern that I used.  All I am really sure of is that it was made from a charm pack or two and some yardage for the "road" and the borders.  

I completed Follow the Yellow Brick Road in 2012 and it measures 52" X 68".

(A day late again...but better late than never :)

Calico Cutie

I purchased Calico Cutie as a kit at a quilt show quite a few years ago.  I worked on it for a while using both English Paper Piecing and Applique.

 I completed this mini quilt in 2013 and it measures 29" X 35".

Follow Your Heart

This pretty Heart Sampler was made using Paper Piecing.  Each block measures six inches.  I chose fabric from my stash to make each block.  It hangs in my family room during part of the year.

I made this small wall hanging in 2014 and it measures 34" X 42".

Stars and Stripes

Originally called "Long May She Wave" and intended as wall art, I have renamed this piece Stars and Stripes and use it as a table topper during the summer months.  It uses both traditional piecing and applique.  

This sweet little table topper was one of the first quilted projects I've made.  It was constructed in 2008 and it measures 17" X 26".

Today I am sharing some table runners. 

Chicken Scratch

  I made Chicken Scratch from a border fabric using the

 Easy Striped Table Runner Pattern by The Quilt Company

I have made a variety of table runners using this same pattern.

This table runner was made in 2014 and it measures 

15" X 55".

Hugs & Kisses

Hugs & Kisses was made from a pattern called 

Double Four Patch Runner by Graywood Designs.

As you can tell, I altered the pattern slightly to make it work for the look I wanted.

I use this table runner to decorate during the month of February.

I made this table runner in 2015 and it measures 

17" X 50".

Easy Braid Table Runner

I made this table runner in 2013 from a pattern called

Easy Braid Table Runner.

It is a "Quilt as you Go" pattern.  I have seen this table runner done in MANY different fabrics, often to correspond to a specific holiday.  I have only made one of this pattern so far. 

 I made it in colors to coordinate with my kitchen colors.  This table runner measures 15" X 51".
