Show & Tell Tuesday (Friendship & Goin' Buggy)

Show & Tell Tuesday

Friendship

In the spring of 2013 I participated in a mystery quilt sponsored by Heather Spence.  This specific mystery quilt was a fund raiser for a needy child named Wyatt.

The original quilt pattern was called "Connect the Dots."  I had recently made a quilt with this name so I decided to change the name.  I chose "Friendship" because the line of fabric I used was called Friendship.

I finished this quilt in 2014.  It measures 75" x 92".

Going Buggy

I fell in love with this quilt pattern by Carrie L. Nelson of Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. in the spring of 2013.  I was fascinated by the curved piecing and I wanted to tackle this new skill.  After I started reading the pattern I realized there is no curved piecing at all - it is actually machine appliqué!

This quilt has become one of my favorite quilts that I have made.

According to Carrie, the proper name for the block in this quilt is "Dogwood Blossom."  Carrie got the name of the quilt from Buggy Barn Quilts in Reardan, Washington when she was invited to teach a class at their 10th Annual Quilt Show some time around 2006.

I finished this quilt in 2014. It measures 75" x 75".

Until Next Time.....Happy Stitching!!!
