Make-A-List Monday April/May

Busy, Busy, Busy...

We have been so busy lately that I don't know where to begin.

This has been a month of ups and downs.

I will start with our furry friend, Brody.  We celebrated Brody's third birthday on April 21st.
Happy Birthday sweet Brody!

My hubby spent his spring break in Ft Pierce, Florida with his varsity baseball team.

They spent part of one day at the beach and he sent me this picture.  At the time we were experiencing cold, rainy weather.  I was so jealous!

Logan got his first haircut...So cute!

And now for our

JT and Kaela are engaged!

They hiked to the top of a mountain in St. Lucia.
JT got down on one knee, on his 30th birthday, and asked his beloved Kaela to be his wife.

They look so happy in all these pictures....but...

Little did we know that in a few days they would trade these beautiful scenic views...

for a view from a room at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dear sweet Kaela was biking and hiking around St.Lucia with a ruptured appendix.

Somehow they made it home and went right to the ER.  Because her appendix has ruptured, the only treatment is IV antibiotics for the very serious infection that has set in. She may still need surgery but for now we are just waiting for the antibiotics to do their job. She has quite a road ahead of her to recovery but at least she can spend the time in the hospital dreaming about her wedding.

And think of the story they will have to tell their children and grandchildren about their St. Lucia engagement!

April
(in review)

1.  Spend quality time with my wonderful grandsons.

Going for a wagon ride.

Me and my bro!

Happy little guy!

Picnic time at a local park.

How do you like my new haircut?

We spent one day at "BIG Wheels Day."

My favorite picture!

2.  Attend the Quilts for Kids workshop at Pennington Quilt Works.

We completed 39 quilts this month!

One of our members is moving so we had a luncheon for her.  We presented her with a quilt to take to her new house in Florida.

We will miss you, Joy, but we are sure you will come back to visit.

3.  Attend Saturday Sampler workshop at Pennington Quilt Works.

4.  Celebrate my two DS's birthdays.

Here are my two boys after my oldest, Kyle, ran a half marathon in Asbury Park, NJ.

We all went to cheer him on.  Shea was busy entertaining the little ones while they waited for their daddy to run by.

We were able to find a playground to help the time move a little more quickly.

After the race we went to lunch.  Then it was time to go cheer on the Pirate baseball team to victory.

From there we headed out to dinner at Harold's in Edison.  Harold's is well known for their humongous portions.  Here is Ryder's pancake. WOW!

Our entire table shared this piece of cake even though Ryder thought it was all his.

5.  Celebrate Easter with my family.

6.  Attend a "Paint Party" hosted by my DA Kathy.
