I am the wife of a wonderful husband and the mom of three super adult kids and their spouses. I also proudly have five adorable grandsons. I happily taught preschool for 25 years. When I'm not with my grandsons I spend much of my time indulging in my "Quilty Pleasures."
September is the time of endings and beginnings. The BOYZ said good-bye to summer with one last trip to Delaware to visit with their
maternal grandparents, Ellen & Ron. While there,
they enjoyed hiking...
arcade play...
and fishing...
When their vacation was over it was time to come home and get new haircuts for the beginning of school.
Ryder started Kindergarten at his new school.
He took his first school bus ride...
Logan enjoyed driving the Ninja car to the bus stop.
Jace kept busy while Ryder was at school by exploring his environment.
Kindergarten is only a half day, and Ryder is no longer taking naps, so he needed something to keep him busy in the afternoon while his younger brothers are napping.
Ryder and I built a rolling cart of drawers to hold activities for him to do after lunch.
Every day, when Logan and Jace go in for their naps, Ryder works on a variety of activities his mom, Heather, has chosen for him. He really enjoys his activity time each weekday.
Our little Jace continues to thrive by taking in all that life has to offer a 7 month old...
The weather has been really beautiful so we have enjoyed many days of playing outside...
Ryder is learning so many new things now that he is five.
He can now tie a bow...
and he is learning to play the piano...
Learning so many new things can make a five year old very tired...even if he no longer takes naps...
or does he?
The month of September came to an end with a surprise visit from Aunt Katie at soccer practice.
