Make-A-List Monday April/May

Happy Birthday to our sweet grandson!!!

Who was it who once said..."Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"?

It was John Lennon, I think, in his song

Beautiful Boy.

In my case, I think life is what happened to me and I forgot to make other plans...haha.

I haven't written a blog post in two months.  I have been very busy with quilting, grandchildren and life in general; so let me get to my list to see some of the things I have been doing.

March/April
(in review)

1.  Spend quality time with my special grandsons

Playing in the sandbox

Looking at the animals at the park

Meeting Mickey Mouse

Playing in the fort

Logan loves the sand

Ryder likes to ride the car at Kidz Village

Logan grocery shopping at Kidz Village

Logan loves the ball pit at My Gym

Love these two so much!

Who are these masked men?

Logan loves to play outside

Reading a magazine at the library

Merril Park

Meeting Chuck

Ryder's First Day of Pre-K

Catch that bubble, Logan!

More sandbox fun...inside this time.

Great day for a picnic

Daddy reads the best stories

Logan loves Frozen and Grandad reads it so well.

A sleepover at Mimi and Grandad's house...climbing a tree.

Ryder planting a garden with Mommy

Logan learning to play baseball from the best coach I know!

We had fun at the local community park

But Logan had trouble falling asleep at home that night...not sure why.  Maybe he just missed his mommy and daddy and was so happy to see them.

Ryder had fun playing Santa at his sleepover.

Ready Spaghetti!

Hands on your head!!

Making homemade Lightsabers

Ryder loves the Transformers with which his daddy used to play.

Yum...Chocolate Chip Pancakes!

I think we wore our little guy out :)

2.  Piece, quilt, bind and label at least one "Quilts for Kids" quilt.  Attend the Quilts for Kids workshop at Pennington Quilt Works

Some of my favorite quilts from the shows:

7.  Work on JT and Kaela's wedding quilt.
Kaela decided she wanted a neutral quilt so I had to put my thinking cap on.  I needed to find a quilt pattern that would showcase neutral shades of white and beige.

I decided to design my own pattern.

Here are the neutral fabrics I chose.

Here is the quilt being quilted

I had to put it on a bed to see how it would look.

I presented the quilt to the Bride-to-be at her small, intimate bridal shower.

It was a small gathering of immediate family and a few close friends of the bride.  I'm so happy that Kaela loves her new wedding quilt.

8.  Attend my friend's Bridal Shower.

Kristina had plenty of help opening her gifts.

9.  Begin gathering fabric and choose a pattern for my Dear Friends, Maureen and Tyler's wedding quilt.

This is all I can share just yet.
Stayed tuned!
