December Make-A-List Monday

November 2014
(in review)


1.  Spend quality time with my wonderful grandsons.  

Lots of time was spent with my darling grandsons.  Here are a few pictures:

2.  Prepare fabric for a commission quilt called Garden Stroll.


These are the fabrics I have chosen to use for this quilt


Everything is cut and ready to sew.

3.  Get Emmy repaired so that I can start working on a Christmas Stocking for little Logan.

I was able to get Emmy repaired just in time to make Logan's Christmas stocking.






















Now both of my little boys have Christmas stockings made by their Mimi.



4.  Prepare blocks for a memory quilt.

This is a top secret project for a blog reader so I can't say any more.



5.  Make another baby quilt for a baby shower I will attend later in the month.





The shower was held in a lovely restaurant in Philadelphia.  The beautiful mommy-to-be received such great gifts. 











6.  Work on  a quilt for a little baby named Wyatt.


No Progress.




7.  Prepare backings for Delightful Stars, Globetrotting, Flower Power and Heartstrings.

I was able to prepare backings for the first three of these four quilts.



8.  Work on four Friendship Corner blocks for the McCall's Make It Your Way quilt-along.

No Progress.



9.  Complete piecing, quilting , binding and labeling one Quilts for Kids quilt.

No Progress.



10. Gather fabric and begin working on Bonnie Hunter's next mystery quilt: Grand Illusion!


Bonnie released the fabric requirements for her 2014 mystery quilt in October.  She based her choises on the colors the saw when teaching a class at the GRAND HOTEL on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

I decided to use Bonnie's colors as a guide but I tweeked them a little.

Fat Quarter Shop.

14.  Complete quilting the quilt currently loaded on Annie:  , Lazy Sunday and any other quilts currently on my Git-R-Done List.

I have not been down to play with Annie in over a month.  I really need to make time for this after the Christmas holiday.





15.  Bind and label 6 table runners and any other quilts I complete this month.

16.  Work on The Village Quilter Strip Club quilt called Basketcase by Cluck Cluck Sew.

 Now to find a backing....



17.  Work on a few blocks for my Black & White Sampler.

Our workshop was well attended this month.  Our fearless leader, Debbie, brought us a lot of batiks from Quilts for Kids headquarters.  I opted out of working with them and instead I chose to frame some fabric pictures I had recently cut from some headers.


28.  Attend Saturday Sampler workshop at Pennington Quilt Works.

29.  Celebrate Thanksgiving with my family.


It was wonderful to spend some quality time with my beloved family.


30.  Start baking Christmas cookies.

I've baked sugar cookies, chocolate snaps, chocolate chip cookies, ginger snaps, snickerdoodles and oatmeal raisin cookies.  Recipes for all these cookies can be found in the Foodie Friday folder on the right side of my blog.
