Make-A-List Monday

The Week of October 14, 2013
(in review)

1.  Work on the sixth block for the PQW Saturday Sampler Quilt.

I love these chevron stripes made with all HST.

2.  Finish the September Stash Club quilt - Nine Patch
 - a UFO from about two years ago.

I started this quilt in 2011.  Most of it was done.  I just had to sew the blocks together and add borders.  Now it is added to my Git-R-Done list.

3.  Prepare a backing and binding for the Aiming for Accuracy Quilt
 sponsored by The Quilting Gallery.

I am still undecided about the backing for this blue and yellow batik quilt.

4.  Work on the next clue for the
Heather Spence of Heather Spence Designs

This is a picture of 4 of the 48 blocks I have so far.
The next clue will come out on Friday.

5.  Work on a baby quilt from the book Simply Chenille Baby Quilts

I have pre-washed all of the fabric I will use for this quilt.
That is as far as I have gotten.

Chenille makes A LOT of lint.

6.  Finish the October Stash Club quilt - Mexican Cross
a UFO from about two years ago.

I made a little progress on this quilt.  All the blocks are done.  I have decided to frame them and sash them.  I will continue to work on this.

7.  Cut up a bag of scraps.

My bag of scraps has been cut up and added to my Scrap User's System.

8.  Spend three days and one night with little Ryder.

We went to the playground.

"I saw an acorn down here somewhere."

"Here it is!"

"What kind of bug is that, Grammy?"

"What are these big kids doing to my bug?"

"Granddad gave me a ride.  Wheeeeee!"

"Then he gave me a bath."

"We celebrated my Mommy's birthday."

"We went to Harold's New York Deli.  The sandwiches were crazy big."

"I liked going out to dinner with my family, but especially my Grammy!"

9.   Work on the following BRODY Projects:

Blue Dresden Plate Quilt
Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Small Print
Four-Patch Stacked Posies...Large Print
Slice Twice - Isn't That Nice
Blue Palace
Meadow - A Christmas Quilt
*Jungle Fever

*Aunt Josephine's Pride Mini Quilt
Two Flag of Valor Quilts

I did a little work on three different BRODY Projects.  I finished two blocks for Civil War Tribute.

One block measures 18 1/2" and the other is 12 1/2".

10.  Work on the quilt currently loaded on Annie - Taylor's Timeless Quilt.

This quilt is almost done.

11.  Add some more hexies to my Bonnie Hunter inspired
 Christmas Hexie Quilt.

I added approximately eight hexies but I don't have any pictures.

12.  Work on my the shawl I am crocheting for
the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. David the King Church.

I love the way my shawl is coming along.  No pictures to show yet.

13.  Attend the $5 quilt workshop at Byrne Sewing Connection in Doylestown, PA.

I had a beautiful drive to Doylestown, PA.  The leaves were turning colors and there were dried corn fields and pumpkins galore.
