A Recipe for Friendship
I made this quilt for my dearest friend, Karen.
Karen and I have been friends since high school.
We were pretty much inseparable in school and beyond.
We were married three months apart in 1981.
Karen was my Maid-of-Honor and
I was her Matron-of-Honor.
We planned our weddings together.
Although we were married in different churches, our receptions were at the same venue and we used the same photographer. We even honeymooned in the same place - but not at the same time!!
Our lives have gone in many different directions over the past 45 years. Karen has lived all over the world and I still live in the same town in which we went to high school.
But over all the years and all the miles I still consider Karen my best friend.
The variety of fabric in this quilt represents all the different ways our lives have gone and the threads represent how through it all we have stayed together.
I gifted this Recipe for Friendship quilt to Karen and she just received it yesterday.
This is the picture of the quilt in her family room.
Until Next Time.....Happy Stitching!!!
