Make-A-List Monday - October 2014

Technology is the bane of my existence.  It is a constant irritant and a source of misery.

As I was preparing to write this blog post, my camera, with most of my pictures, decided to stop working.

I spent much of today trying to retake the pictures that I could.  Unfortunately, many of the pictures from our most recent Awesome Adventure are gone.

I'm hoping that a local camera repair shop will be able to recover the pictures from the memory card.
In the meantime, I will persevere with the pictures that I still have.

September 2014
(in review)

1.  Spend quality time with my favorite grandsons.

We were able to spend lots of time with our little guys this month.

On a recent sleepover, Ryder enjoyed saying
"Good night" to the moon with his granddad.

We had a lot of fun just using our imaginations in our play.

Although I lost most of the pictures from the Please Touch Museum, I did have a few on my phone.

2.  Start to gather fabric for a commission quilt.

No progress.

3.  Continue to work on three Advent calendars for my three children.

I hope my three children will have many years of fun with these Advent calendars.

4.  Complete my Skill Builder Quilt top.

The original quilt pattern had twenty blocks but I decided to call it finished after twelve.

To try to make up for the deletion of eight blocks, I added a pieced border.  I am very pleased with the final quilt top.

5.  Complete my Sugar Block Club quilt top.

This top is almost complete.  I am adding a flying geese border so that is taking a little more time.  It should be done in the next few days.

6.  Work on the "Delightful Stars Quilt-Along"
 sponsored by The Quilting Gallery.

I had some great pictures of this quilt top on my camera but I will have to be satisfied with this picture that I still had on my phone.

This quilt top is gorgeous.  Many thanks to Michele Foster for her creative genius in designing this quilt.  I can't wait to see the next quilt you design.

7.  Work on seven  LeMoyne Star blocks for the McCall's Make It Your Way quilt-along.

I am almost done with these seven blocks but I don't have any pictures to share at this time.

8.  Complete piecing, quilting , binding and labeling two Quilts for Kids quilts.

I have finished piecing and quilting one of the quilts.  I have only finished piecing the second quilt.

9. Work on the September Globetrotting
block sponsored by Pat Sloan.

10.  Work on the September Aurifil quilt-along block.

11.  Work on the September step for the
Tell It to the Stars quilt-along sponsored by Judy Laquidara.

I was able to piece both colorways of this quilt into three rows.  Unfortunately, I lost the pictures but hopefully I will have pictures next month.
